The A La Carte program seeks to provide a nutritious meal, free of charge, to anyone who needs food. Born out of a partnership between Loaves & Fishes and Joint Venture Silicon Valley, the program provides food to cover two meals for 3-4 people at a time, but individuals are welcome to receive a prepared meal, as they can be reheated/frozen to provide meals for several days. The program visits the Belle Haven School at Ivy Plaza in Menlo Park on Fridays, from 3:15-4:15 p.m. They are also recruiting corporate and academic partners and collaborating with nonprofits, city and county governments to help people struggling with food insecurity. Current sponsors include Facebook, Loaves & Fishes, Joint Venture Silicon Valley, FlagShip, CalRecycle.

EHP Emergency Food Assistance provides boxes of food to meet basic nutritional needs of families, as well as to individuals experiencing temporary emergency needs or special circumstances, such as long-term illness or homlessness. The food boxes are nutritionally balanced, containing protein, vegetables, grains, cereals, and canned goods. They are prepared with an understanding of the cultural and ethnic preferences of each family. You must call in for an appointment.
