BID - 2017 Street Resurfacing Project
Menlo Park Public Works Bids
The City of Menlo Park invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bid proposals for the
2017 STREET RESURFACING PROJECT.
The work to be done consists, in general, of rehabilitating various street sections throughout the City of Menlo Park. The work includes milling existing asphalt and replacing at the same depth with new hot mix asphalt pavement and compacting existing base prior to asphalt placement; manhole and utility structure cover adjustments as needed; curb, gutter, and sidewalk replacement; new curb ramps installations, replacement as well as retrofit of various existing ramps in compliance with the American Disabilities Act; installation and modification of minor drainage structures; replacement of pavement striping and marking; and other incidentals as necessary to complete the work as shown on the Plans and as specified in the Special Provisions.

The Prime Contractor on this project shall possess a valid Class A or Class C-12 license is required for this Project. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed according to Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professional Code. Specialized services shall be performed by contractors
licensed in the appropriate classifications. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed or be awarded a contract on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Project documents and copies of the prevailing rate of wages can be obtained from the Engineering Division, located in the Administration Building at 701 Laurel Street, Menlo Park, CA 94025.
An optional pre-bid conference meeting will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2017 in City Hall- 701 Laurel Street, Menlo Park, CA for interested bidders.
