The work to be done consists in providing a turnkey solution for the design, manufacture and installation of a 120 foot self supporting monopole communication antenna structure, auxiliary antennas, coaxial cables, associated hardware and construction of the concrete foundation. The work will also include providing all necessary building plans, shop plans, design calculations, soils report amendment as needed to obtain permits (City will pay for building permit) and meeting the current California Building Standards Code and all applicable national, trades and industry codes and specified requirements. Additionally, manage the shipping and site delivery of the monopole antenna, decommissioning and removal of an existing tower antenna at the site including its foundation and doing all necessary appurtenant work in place and ready to use, all as described in the project specifications.

The Prime Contractor on this project shall possess a valid license issued by the State of California currently active and in good standing in conformance to license classification(s) to trade(s) required to accomplish the scope of work in the project specifications.. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed according to Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professional Code. Specialized services shall be performed by contractors licensed in the appropriate classifications. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed or be awarded a contract on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
Special Requirements:
Formal approval of substitutions must be obtained by November 9, 2016. The owner shall not consider any substitutions after November 3, 2016.

The timeline under this Contract is as follows:
Sixty-five (65) working days: Design, plans and obtaining all permits.
Fifty (50) working days: Manufacturing and delivery of antenna with all equipment and parts, removal of existing antenna and foundation, construct new foundation.
Twenty-five (25) working days: Antenna erection, communication cables installation connection including equipment and testing for a fully working communication antenna system.

Contractor and or Subcontractors shall have the training, certification and ability required to perform the safe installation of an antenna structure in conformance to National, Industry and Local Standards.
