City opens Belle Haven Child Development Center enrollment for 2019-20 year

Beginning April 29, the City’s Belle Haven Child Development Center program serving children ages 3-5 is accepting applications from qualifying families for the coming year. Enrollment is starting earlier this year to better support and meet the county’s continually increasing child care needs. The program is a Title V state funded program. Menlo Park continues to chalk tires for parking enforcement

On April 23, 2019, the City of Menlo Park was made aware of a parking enforcement ruling from U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. The ruling dealt with a case in Saginaw, Michigan, in which a woman received numerous parking tickets. She sued the City of Saginaw, claiming that it was unconstitutional for the City of Saginaw to “chalk” her car’s tires. Grazing goats return to Menlo Park

The hungry weed-eaters will be grazing in Sharon Hills Park for the next two weeks, eliminating the fire hazard of dry weeds and grass. The goats are a nontoxic alternative to using herbicides, one of the many environmentally friendly practices of the City’s Integrated Pest Management Plan.
