Belle Haven Branch Library Space Needs Study Results and Proposed Next Steps
City Council will review the space needs study results and proposed next steps in the process to build a new branch library that will serve the Belle Haven and Bayfront neighborhoods on April 16, at the Menlo Park Senior Center. Building a new branch library in Belle Haven is one of City Council’s top five priorities in 2019. The completion of this comprehensive space needs study is a major milestone in the years-long journey toward a new library for the community, and now the exciting work of design is poised to begin.
City Council will consider the next steps in the library design process, including the development of conceptual design options, evaluation of various location options, estimating the construction cost, and identifying potential financing mechanisms. Community input is an essential and integral part of building a new community library. Your comments, suggestions and feedback are welcomed and encouraged!
