City offices to close part of Thanksgiving week, November 21–23

Starting Wednesday, November 21 through Friday, November 23, City Hall and most City departments/facilities are closed including the administrative offices of the Police Department. Although administrative offices will be closed, emergency services will continue. Menlo Park Municipal Water, Police and Public Works personnel will respond 24/7 to emergency calls during the holiday closure. In an emergency, call or text 911. City distributes masks due to poor air quality 

The City of Menlo Park has received 1,000 “N95” masks donated by Facebook, Inc., which are available upon request and can be picked up on a first come, first served basis to assist those who are most impacted by the poor air quality caused by heavy wildfire smoke from the Camp Fire in Butte County. These masks must be worn and used properly. The Menlo Park Police Explorers begin their seventh annual coat drive. The need has never been greater and it's easy to make a difference in our community. Here is your opportunity to make sure that no one goes without such a basic necessity as a coat this winter. Through January 6, 2019, the Police Explorers are collecting new or clean and gently used coats as part of the One Warm Coat community service project. City introduces library auto-renewal pilot program

The City is constantly looking for ways to improve your library experience and serve you better. One of the most frequently requested service upgrades we hear from our patrons is the ability to automatically renew library items. We are pleased to announce that we are launching a new pilot program to do just that! Effective December 1, 2018, the library will automatically renew eligible items checked out to you one day before each items’ due date. The City invites you to a fun-filled morning featuring holiday activities, an amazing pancake breakfast and of course Santa Clause himself! Breakfast with Santa is December 1, 2018, from 7:30-11:30 a.m. at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center. Fill your tummy with pancakes until you can’t eat another bite.
