Installation of a new restroom facility at Jack Lyle Park has begun and will replace the currently available portable toilet facilities provided for approved field user groups and soccer organizations children and their families. Once completed, the new restroom facility will be accessible to all park users. City staff from the Planning Division attended the American Planning Association state conference (APA California) in San Diego during October 7-10. Celebrating APA California’s 70th year, the conference theme was "Shaping our Future: Planning Places for All.” There were a number of great sessions and mobile workshops on a variety of current topics, including housing, resiliency, placemaking, environmental justice and transportation. The purpose is to provide financial support to local nonprofit agencies whose programs respond to the human service needs of Menlo Park residents.
