Egg Hunt

Hop on over to Burgess or Kelly Parks on March 31, 2018 from 10:00 am-Noon and join the City of Menlo Park, the Menlo Park Firefighter’s Association and the Menlo Park Fire Protection District for our Annual Egg Hunts! The Bunny will arrive at 10:00 am for pictures and the hunt will start at 10:20 am. Children are allowed to collect four eggs and should bring their own basket or bag. The Egg Hunts will have bounce houses, a candy guess, performances from Happily Ever Laughter and Mermaird Atlantis, crafts and more!


Instrument Petting Zoo

What happens when you gather two violins, a viola, and a cello, and then challenge one instrument to be more creative than the next? Join the acclaimed musicians and teaching artists of Chamber Music by the Bay at the Menlo Park Library to find out!  Experience an interactive musical performance, learn how string instruments work, and try your hand at the violin, viola, and cello. While all ages are welcome, this program is especially geared at young audience members ages ten and below.  Instrument Petting Zoo will take place on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 7:00-8:00 pm at 800 Alma St.


Emergency Preparedness 

The Menlo Park Senior Center, at 110 Terminal Ave, is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Event for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 1:30-4:30 pm. The event is free and will include: disaster planning for the community, expert advice from the Center for Independence Presenters and first responders on preparedness topics, refreshments, raffle for 3-day emergency kits, and goodie bags for the first 100 guests. If accommodations are needed for a disability or language translation, please contact 650-645-1780 Ext. 115 prior to the event. 



Magical Strings West Annual Concert

Please join us at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center, at 555 Middlefield Rd, for an afternoon of beautiful Music on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 3:30-5:00 pm. The Magical Strings West is a group of talented young violinsts from age 3 to 18, who are set to perform another  wonderful program this year. The program will feature music by Bach, Vivaldi, Bartok, Telemann, Brahms, Veracini and more. Admission is free, but don't forget to register!


Kite Day

Enjoy a nice breezy day at Bedwell-Bayfront Park, at 1600 Marsh Rd, for Menlo Park’s annual Kite Day on May 5, 2018 from Noon-3:00 pm. Bring the family and watch hundreds of kites fill the Menlo Park sky with gorgeous views of the San Francisco Bay. Kite Day is free to the public, but you may purchase a kite and hot dog lunch for $6 at the event. Snow cones for $1 will also be available for purchase. Come for kite flying, a picnic lunch, a  bounce house, airbrush tattoos, facepainting, and for the first time ever, a petting zoo! Also, if the wind is strong enough, you’ll see Mega Fish (a giant 46' kite). Kite Day is co-sponsored by the Menlo Park Kiwanis Club and is in partnership with Take it Outside California! initiative.
