Willow-101 interchange construction updates

Below are updates on the Willow-101 interchange construction. To keep up to date, please see the weekly Construction News Updates. The segment of Bay Road between Willow and Windermere will be completely closed from 7 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday through the end of August for the PG&E gas line relocations. The on- and off-ramps between Willow and 101 will be closed intermittently. New Japanese Restaurant opens in Menlo Park!

A new authentic Japanese cuisine restaurant is being added to downtown. Kyosho Japanese Restaurant will be located at 607 Santa Cruz Ave. Taking over the lease after Tokyo Subway closed in December. The owner Thomas Wu has been the owner and sushi chef of the food truck, We Sushi, for the last 6 year. Remembering the Summer of Love at the Library

Summer 1967, hippie hill, George Harrison, the Haight, flower power, love beads, it’s all 50 years ago this summer. The library will be marking the Summer of Love with a family festival Saturday July 22 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.. One great resource for San Mateo County is available through Commute.org, whose goal is to facilitate trips to/from and within the County. Peanuts Naturally Science Festival at the Library

For the second year in a row the Library hosted the Charles M. Schulz Museum and their Peanuts Naturally travelling exhibit. On June 27 over 300 young minds had fun engaging with hands-on art and science activities under the oak trees. Participants had the chance to interact with more than a dozen exhibits that focused on art, chemistry, engineering and physics. Beach Week at Arrillaga Family Gymnastics Center

Summer is in full swing at the Arrillaga Gymnastics Center with our summer camps Menlo Palooza and Menlo Madness taking advantage of all that is offered. There are approximately 20 to 35 campers who visit gymnastics once a week for an hour with their camp counselors. The gymnastics staff break the children up into groups and work with the children on all the gymnastics apparatus including bars, floor and the balance beam.
