Summer Camp Fair 

Be the first to enroll your child for the camp of their choice! Join the City of Menlo Park on March 10, 2017 for our Fourth Annual Summer Camp Fair. The fair will take place at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Some camps will fill up fast!  Parents and kids are welcome to attend to gain resources on summer programs in Menlo Park. Camps included are: Sports Camps, Camp Menlo, Mini Madness, Munchkin Madness, Menlo Madness, Sky’s the Limit, Menlo Palooza and many more. The fair will feature games, camp raffle, petting zoo & pony rides, announcement of summer jobs for youth, and FREE pizza! When you register your child at the event, receive 10% OFF all city run camps! Summer Camp Fair programs are geared for children aged 3-15 years. 

Parent Education Workshop

Join us for a Parent Education Workshop, "Building Your Child's Self-Esteem and Personal Power" presented by Parents Place on April 4, 2017 from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm at the Belle Haven Child Development Center. Learn how children develop positive and healthy relationships, understand the stages of social and emotional development, and how to develop your child’s empathy and social skills. The workshop is free to attend and child care can be provided with a reservation. 

Belle Haven Mini-Grant Program

The Belle Haven Community Development Fund is now accepting applications for the 2017 Belle Haven Mini-Grant Program for home curb appeal projects and community building events. Belle Haven residents can learn more about the program and how to apply by attending a information session on April 3, 2017. All information session will be held at 6pm at the Onetta Harris Community Center. For more information, contact the Belle Haven Community Development Fund by calling 650-450-5484 or by email. The Program is funded by the City of Menlo Park and administered by Belle Haven Community Development Fund. Grants range from $500 to $1,000 and applications are due April 4, 2017.

A Visit with Edgar Allan Poe

Actor Duffy Hudson returns with a one-man show featuring "The Raven" poet Edgar Allan Poe on April 8, 2017 from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at the Menlo Park City Council Chambers. Duffy Hudson's “In the Shadow of the Raven” begins as Edgar Allan Poe rises from the scene of his mysterious death, and continues as he pieces together the events of his life. Using a combination of biographical information and the dramatic interpretation of Poe’s literature, Hudson provides a unique, in-depth theatrical experience of the life and works of one of America’s best-known and enigmatic personalities.
