Holiday Tree Lighting

The City of Menlo Park invites you to the annual Holiday Tree Lighting. The festivities include holiday treats, live entertainment, music, and a spectacular tree lighting. Plus, if you have been good boys and girls this year, Santa just might make a special appearance! Don’t miss this festive night to help us kick-off the holiday season on Dec 2nd from 5:30pm-7:00 pm at Fremont Park. 

Breakfast with Santa

The City of Menlo Park Community Services Department will be hosting the annual Breakfast with Santa on Dec 3rd from 7:30am-11:30am at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center. Activities will include pancake breakfast, letter writing to Santa, holiday crafts, balloon artist, and visiting and picture taking with Santa. Enjoy a fun time with friends & family! $7 for Adults and $5 for Children; $1.00 OFF ticket price with donation of an unwrapped toy for the Fire Fighter Toy Drive. Reservations can be make online starting Nov 1st or by calling 650-330-2220.

CalTrain Holiday Train

The Caltrain Holiday Train presented by Silicon Valley Community Foundation, a Bay Area tradition since 2001, is a free family event that brings together thousands of local community members in the spirit of joy and giving. Decorated with 70,000 glittering lights, the dazzling show-train will visit nine Caltrain stations between San Francisco and Santa Clara over two nights in December, providing holiday entertainment and collecting donations of toys for local children who otherwise might not receive a gift during the holidays. The Caltrain Holiday Train has generated nearly 50,000 toys for local children in its 13-year history. Enjoy the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra; Model railroad exhibits will be open from 7pm-9pm. This year the Holiday Train will arrive at the Menlo Park CalTrain stop on Dec 4th at 7:45pm and will depart at 8:05pm. When you come to see the Holiday Train, please bring a new toy or book to donate to the toy drive! Be sure to come early!

Menlowe Ballet presents "It’s a Wonderful Nutcracker"

Menlowe Ballet, the premier professional ballet company on the peninsula based in Menlo Park, presents its encore presentation of the full-length story ballet, It's a Wonderful Nutcracker. Conceived by Artistic Director Michael Lowe, It’s a Wonderful Nutcracker is set to the original beloved Tchaikovsky score and infused with inspiration from the 1940’s Frank Capra film, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, bringing the two most heralded holiday classics together on one stage. With all the magic of a traditional Nutcracker, this heartwarming contemporary version is packed full of surprises you won't want to miss!  Performances will be held at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center on Dec 9-11th & 16-18th. Tickets are available online. 

Holiday Showcase

Join us on Dec 13th from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center for our annual Holiday Showcase. Watch the City’s best programs and classes of the year from aerial acrobatics, jazz dance, soul line-dancing, hula, belly dancing, and MORE! We pride ourselves on creating a community that is vibrant, diverse, and fun! Come see all that we have to offer in our fabulous collection of classes and programs where you, our talented community, enter into the spotlight. Reserve tickets online: $5.00 for Adults (over 13); Free for Children (under 12). Program includes After Showcase Social following the performances.
