Halloween Hoopla 

Put on your Halloween costume and parade through downtown Menlo Park at our annual Halloween Hoopla Parade & Trick-or-Treat on Oct 29th from 11am-2pm. Participants are welcome to come in costume and participate in the annual parade through downtown Menlo Park to Fremont Park. Led by a band comprised of music students from La Entrada and Hillview Middle Schools, the parade will start in the Maloney Street parking lot off Santa Cruz Avenue. Please meet at the parade start at 11:00 a.m. After the parade, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., kids are welcome to trick-or-treat to local downtown merchants. Enjoy live entertainment, carnival games, and crafts sponsored by Cheeky Monkey Toys. Free trick-or-treat bags will available at Fremont Park for all children. Be sure to participate in our NEW Pumpkin Carving Contest by completing the online registration form.   

NEW - Pumpkin Carving Contest

NEW this year at Halloween Hoopla, the City of Menlo Park will be hosting a pumpkin carving contest. We look forward to many creative entries that will be showcased and judged at this year’s Halloween Hoopla. Those who wish to participate will need to complete the online entry form, pay the $10 per pumpkin entry fee, and bring their carved or decorated pumpkin to Halloween Hoopla on Oct 29th. Please see official rules and terms and conditions on the online entry form. It is easy! Best of all, there will be great prizes to win. Deadline to register and pay the entry fee is Friday, Oct. 28th at 5pm.

Menlowe Ballet presents TRIBUTE

Menlowe Ballet marks its five-year anniversary with TRIBUTE, a celebratory program featuring world premieres, a classical jewel, and the revival of a signature company work, Nov 3, 5 & 6 at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center. In just five years, Menlowe Ballet has risen to become one of the Bay Area’s most compelling and unique professional ballet companies. To honor the anniversary, illustrious dance icon Dennis Nahat returns to the Menlowe to stage his rapturous version of the classical Le Corsaire Pas de Deux. Tickets range from $30-$60 and are available online. Benny Green In Solo Performance 

Don't miss the rare opportunity to see Benny Green In Solo Performance on Nov 11th at 7:30pm at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center. One of the great jazz pianists of this generation, Berkeley-bred Benny Green has had a storied career, beginning with his early affiliations with Betty Carter, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Freddie Hubbard, Oscar Peterson and the Ray Brown Trio. Benny performs these days mostly with his own trio or larger groups, so this solo performance is a rare and special treat for jazz fans. This program is presented by the Palo Alto Jazz Alliance a recipient of the Menlo Park Grant for the Arts. 

Holiday Tree Lighting

The City of Menlo Park invites you to the annual Holiday Tree Lighting. The festivities include holiday treats, live entertainment, music, and a spectacular tree lighting. Plus, if you have been good boys and girls this year, Santa just might make a special appearance! Don’t miss this festive night to help us kick-off the holiday season on Dec 2nd from 5:30pm-7:00 pm at Fremont Park. 

Breakfast with Santa

The City of Menlo Park Community Services Department will be hosting the annual Breakfast with Santa on Dec 3rd from 7:30am-11:30am at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center. Activities will include pancake breakfast, letter writing to Santa, holiday crafts, balloon artist, and visiting and picture taking with Santa. Enjoy a fun time with friends & family! $7 for Adults and $5 for Children; $1.00 OFF ticket price with donation of an unwrapped toy for the Fire Fighter Toy Drive. Holiday Showcase

Join us on Dec 13th from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center for our annual Holiday Showcase. Watch the City’s best programs and classes of the year from aerial acrobatics, jazz dance, soul line-dancing, hula, belly dancing, and MORE! We pride ourselves on creating a community that is vibrant, diverse, and fun! Come see all that we have to offer in our fabulous collection of classes and programs where you, our talented community, enter into the spotlight.
