TONIGHT! The 2016 Menlo Movie Series continues with a free movie in Downtown Menlo Park on Curtis Street.

Synopsis: When Tony Stark and Bruce Banner try to jump-start a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron, things go horribly wrong and it's up to Earth's Mightiest Heroes to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans.

Be sure to bring a chair, blanket and some snacks to enjoy, but most of all, don't forget to bring the family. Enjoy a night of watching the stars, under the stars.

Friday Night Lights

Do you love football? Then join the Menlo Park Police Department for the 2nd annual series of community tailgate parties on Sept 9th at the Curtis Street Paseo from 5:30-7pm! Enjoy free pizza, popcorn, drinks, and giveaways for the whole family. Best of all, get you know your local law enforcement officers and their team of highly skilled staff as your Menlo Park Police Department presents Friday Night Lights!  


Menlo Movie Series: Inside Out

The final night of the Menlo Movie Series will feature a movie for all ages. Bring a chair, blanket and some snacks to enjoy.

Library Centennial Extravaganza

Come join the Menlo Park Library as we celebrate 100 years of stories on Oct 10th from 1-5pm. Come and be amazed as we bring our “Century of Stories” to life with scenes from Alice in Wonderland, The Great Gatsby, Dr. Seuss, 1001 Nights, and swashbuckling pirates galore. Join in on the Mad Hatter Tea Party, and Mr. Gatsby’s Garden Party! Dress up if you like, enjoy henna & face painting, plus snacks, beverages—and a great-big pirate ship! Bring your friends and don't forget your camera.


Silicon Valley Dance Festival 

The Silicon Valley Dance Festival comes to the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center on Sept 24th at 8pm and Sept 25th at 12:30pm. The inaugural Silicon Valley Dance Festival celebrates the diversity of artistic viewpoints available across the West Coast contemporary dance scene. Audiences will be treated to premieres from ZiRu Dance Artistic Director Philein Wang, ZiRu Dance Resident Choreographers Elizabeth Chitty and Michelle Wong, Director Christian Burns, Between Lines Director Winifred R. Harris, and Ledges and Bones Director Holly Johnston. The festival showcases performances by an all-star cast including Babatunji Johnson (Alonzo King LINES Ballet), Vincent Chavez (Robert Moses' KIN & Oakland Ballet), Alysia Chang (Oakland Ballet), and Charles Roy (judge for "Showstoppers - America's Greatest Jazz Competition"). Don't miss this exciting evening of dance!


Grease Sing-along

It's back by popular demand! The City of Menlo Park presents the Grease Sing-along on Oct 1st from 3pm-5pm at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center. Dust off that leather jacket or find that poodle skirt and join us for some interactive family fun. It’s the one that you want! Have you ever been to a film musical and had the uncontrollable urge to burst into song? Ever wanted to know what it’s like to be a T-bird or a Pink Lady but never quite felt cool enough to pull it off? Well, now is your chance to don those pink jackets, grease up those quiffs and let your inhibitions go for an afternoon where you are the stars. Sing-along events are presented with a pre-show introduction including explanation of the sing-along elements. Enjoy a special fun pack to help you interact with the movie, costume contest, prizes and fun giveaways. General admission is $5.00, tickets must be purchased in advanced since space is limited. GREASE is the word!


Halloween Hoopla

Mark your calendars for our annual Halloween Hoopla on Oct 29th from 11am-2pm. Participants are welcome to come in costume and participate in the annual parade through downtown Menlo Park to Fremont Park. Enjoy live entertainment, carnival games, and crafts sponsored by Cheeky Monkey Toys. Free trick or treat bags will available at Fremont Park for all children.
