The San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District (SMCMVCD) has detected West Nile Virus (WNV) in adult mosquitoes collected on August 6, 2014, from two areas of the 94025 ZIP code area in Menlo Park. In response, the District will conduct truck-mounted mosquito fogging treatment around the detection site, in an effort to prevent human cases of WNV. Weather permitting, the mosquito fogging is scheduled for this Monday, August 11, 2014, between 9:00 pm and 5:00 am.

A map of the fogging location can be found on the District website. Residents with questions can call the District at (650) 344-8592 Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The City will continue to monitor and share updates provided by the San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District.
