On May 30, 2021, Menlo Park Police officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon and robbery, which occurred at a residence on the 1100 block of Pine Street. The victim reported that he had secured a female escort via an internet service. During the interaction at the victim’s house, the female allegedly cut the victim in the back of his head with an unknown type of knife causing a significant injury that required hospitalization. The female suspect allegedly stole cash as she left the residence. The victim was later treated and released from the hospital.
Menlo Park Police investigators were able to identify the female suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile from Stockton, California. On June 10, 2021, Menlo Park Police detectives and patrol officers conducted an undercover operation in San Leandro, California which led to the detention and arrest of the suspect. She was transported back to Menlo Park, and was later booked into the San Mateo County Hillcrest Juvenile Detention Center for one count of 245(a)(1) PC – assault with a deadly weapon and 212.2(a) PC – robbery.
