November 8, 2016 Election - Menlo Park City Council
At its June 21st meeting, the City Council approved a resolution calling the Election on November 8, 2016, for the purpose of electing two members of the Menlo Park City Council to four year terms which will expire in December 2020.
The nomination period opens Monday, July 18, 2016, at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m., on Friday, August 12, 2016, unless an incumbent does not file. In the event an incumbent does not file by 5:00 p.m. on August 12, the filing period will be extended to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.
The City of Menlo Park observes a modified work schedule, therefore potential candidates should take note that the City Clerk’s office will be closed on Friday, July 22 and Friday, August 5.
The County of San Mateo holds candidate seminars and a voter data seminar to help you understand your responsibilities and resources for the November 8, 2016, Consolidated Presidential General and Municipal Election. It is highly recommended that candidates attend the seminars. Below are the dates:
