City Manager Alex D. McIntyre announced several upcoming personnel changes at City Hall.
The City of Menlo Park’s Assistant City Manager Starla Jerome-Robinson was honored by the City Council this week upon the announcement of her retirement effective July 31. Jerome-Robinson has served the city as assistant manager for nearly seven years and oversaw many of the administrative services functions for the City.
“Starla’s a dedicated public employee who has always held the interests of the community first,” said City Manager McIntyre. “She has done a good job, and her knowledge of the city will be hard to replace.”
Finance Director Drew Corbett announced yesterday that he will leave his position in Menlo Park to take on the same role for the city of San Mateo. His last day is August 14. As Finance Director, Corbett managed an annual operating budget of over $60 million and worked to restructure the budget from a program/service model to a department/division model to better reflect organizational goals and priorities.
“I am leaving with mixed emotions,” Corbett said. “I am excited about my new opportunity, but I have enjoyed my time here. This city has a great management team and I’m glad to have had the chance to be a part of it.”
McIntyre plans to establish a job search for replacements while also naming temporary moves to fill the vacancies.
“I want to thank both Starla and Drew for their service to the Menlo Park community. We all wish them well in their future endeavors,” said McIntyre when making these announcements.
