Thursday, August 12, 2021

In a performance for adults and teens, Grammy-nominated storyteller Diane Ferlatte, accompanied by musician Erik Pearson, shares tales to remind us to never lose hope, because better days are coming.

Celebrated storyteller Diane Ferlatte returns, sharing stories of inspiration, hope, and humor. Diane shows us that there is a valuable lesson in everything.

About Diane Ferlatte
Grammy-nominated storyteller Diane Ferlatte is a multi-award winning performer who has captivated audiences across six continents. While many of her stories and songs have African and African American roots, she loves to tell any story that holds truths touching upon our common humanity, our history and our culture. She believes that telling and listening to each other’s stories not only enables us to learn about each other, but also to understand each other better.

A legend in the storytelling community and beyond, Diane has spent decades traveling the world and sharing stories, with high-profile performances including appearances for the Kennedy Center, the National Storytelling Festival, the Bay Area Storytelling Festival and for President Bill Clinton’s first inauguration.

This free event received partial funding support from the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.
