Mystery Readers Group: Comparison of Regional Mystery Writers

Wednesday, March 17, 2021

What effect does setting have on story? From the golden age of California P.I. stories, and heading east, we’ll explore some tales rich with regional flavor.

This month we will consider what effect geography and setting have on mysteries set in the U.S., exploring how the authors' regional influences of culture, education, jobs, hobbies, climate, cuisine, history, politics and sports impact their storytelling.

Learn about some regional treasures, and share some of your own favorites.

The Mystery Readers Group meets online on the third Wednesday of each month, with a different topic or guest author at each meeting.

First-timers are always welcome!
