The Climate Reality Project

Tuesday, November 17, 2020

Get the latest facts on the climate crisis and tips on how we can solve it together.

Climate Reality Leadership Corps member Harriet Harvey Horn will deliver the most current version of Al Gore’s Climate Reality presentation (as seen in the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth") that aims to answer three key questions: Should we change?  Can we change? Will we change?

She'll also provide hope, in the form of information as to what we as individuals can do.

About Harriet Harvey-Horn
Since becoming a Climate Reality Leader and speaker in 2018, Harriet Harvey-Horn has engaged audiences across the U.S. in the facts about the climate crisis and its solutions.  She is part of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, a global organization of almost 30,000 leaders from over 150 countries trained personally by Al Gore, leading scientists, and experts to deliver the carefully-vetted facts about the crisis and what we can do about it.

Prior to committing her energies to climate advocacy, Harriet enjoyed a 35-year high tech career, in engineering, marketing, management, and consulting roles. She also held numerous leadership positions on non-profit boards and volunteer organizations. Harriet holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech and an MBA from Santa Clara University, as well as several climate-related certifications.  She has logged over 150 Acts of Leadership with the Climate Reality Project, is a Leadership Mentor to a growing number of new Leaders, and also heads the Santa Clara County Chapter’s membership development and engagement efforts.  In addition to the Climate Reality Project, Harriet is active with the Foundation for Climate Restoration, 350 Silicon Valley, and the Sierra Club. She and her husband live in Los Gatos. They have two sons in their twenties who fuel Harriet’s passion to restore a healthy, livable habitat on Earth.

About the Climate Reality Project
The Climate Reality Project is a non-profit organization involved in education and advocacy related to climate change. The organization is a consolidation of two environmental organizations, the Alliance for Climate Protection and the Climate Project, both founded in 2006 by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, who currently serves as chairman of the board of directors. The organization brought together the aims of its two predecessors to focus on education initiatives related to climate change, as well as to continue to develop a grassroots network to address climate change.
