Artist Breena Nuñez will guide you in creating a mini-comic all about you--and what makes you who you are.
July is International Zine Month! Join pro artist Breena Nuñez as she leads "A Self-Portrait in 6 Panels."
Breena will guide folks to creating self-portraits in the form of a mini-comic. Come prepared to draw a cartoon version of yourself, as well as the people, places, or things that helped create who you are as a unique person.
This event is for ages 9-adult.
About Breena Nuñez
Breena Nuñez is a Peninsula-based Afro Guatemalan-Salvadoran cartoonist whose work centers on the nuances of existing as an Afrodescendiente from the Bay Area. Her work has been featured in publications and sites including The New Yorker, The Nib, CultureStrike, Huffington Post, Prime Vice, Colorlines, and The Beat, as well as in anthologies like Tales From La Vida: A Latinx Comics Anthology, Drawing Power (Eisner Nominated), and Be Gay, Do Comics!
