Award-winning musician Faith Ako whisks us to the islands with her sultry voice, presenting a beautiful mix of original songs and Hawaiian classics.
As the Bay Area’s premier female artist in Traditional/Contemporary Hawaiian music for over two decades, Faith Ako has long graced the West Coast with her versatile voice.
About Faith Ako
Award-winning Hawaiian musician Faith Ako has been singing and playing music all her life. Born in the small O’ahu town of La’ie , Faith grew up influenced by family, church, local culture, and rock & Motown soul music. A resident of the Bay Area since the early 90’s, Faith has been a member of several local Hawaiian bands and began her a solo career in 2007. Her many awards include: Hawai’i Music Awards; Top Grammy Entries-Genre; San Francisco Honorary Citizen Award for Island Culture Heritage; and San Mateo County Board of Supervisors Commendation Award for Pacific Islander Community Partnership. Faith has made four albums of Hawaiian music: Ku Kahi, Papaku Bring It Home, Kulaiwi, and the recently-released Ku?u ?Aina Aloha.
