Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting

The Parks and Recreation Commission examines issues of community interest and makes recommendations to the City Council on policy matters as directed by the City Council.
Roles and responsibilities
The Parks and Recreation Commission will strive for excellence in teamwork to:
  • Affirm the diversity in the community
  • Be financially responsible
  • Be responsive to community needs for leisure, cultural, and social programs
  • Maintain a liaison between the community and City Council
  • Maintain its availability, visibility, and accessibility to the community and the media
  • Preserve and protect open space and parklands
  • Promote safety in all facilities and programs
