Adults Paint Like Jackson Pollock

Tuesday, January 28, 2020

Sign up to mark the birth anniversary of Jackson Pollock by trying your hand at painting in the style of the bold, controversial artist.

Painting like the famous "splatter paint" artist, in the library? No worries: art facilitator Christie Inocencio promises a non-messy twist!

This adult program is free, but space is limited. Online registration opens Tuesday, January 7 at noon.

About Jackson Pollock
Paul Jackson Pollock was an American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. He was widely noticed for his technique of pouring or splashing liquid household paint onto a horizontal surface, enabling him to view and paint his canvases from all angles.

About Christie Inocencio
Christie Inocencio is a teaching artist who leads programs at libraries, senior centers, schools, and other locations throughout San Mateo and Alameda Counties and beyond. She started her company, Christie's Creative Cupboard, in order to fill a need in the community for fun, educational programs for all age groups.

This free program is made possible thanks to funding support from the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.
