About Facilitator Barbra Creed

Barbara Creed has been leading discussions about the United States Supreme Court for ten years.  Barbara practiced law in San Francisco for over 40 years, first as a partner with Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro (where she served as the managing partner of a practice group and as a member of the firm's elected seven-person executive committee) and then as a shareholder at Trucker Huss.  In her practice she specialized in employee benefits and executive compensation and was a frequent invited lecturer on employee benefits topics.  Barbara was named to the lists of Best Lawyers in America and California Superlawyers for many years.  During her career Barbara served on the boards of several Bay Area and national charitable organizations, and from 2001-18 she was a trustee of a $14B pension fund, serving as the chair of the 25-member board from 2015-18.  Barbara graduated from Wellesley College with honors and magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law where she served on the law review.  In 2017 she received the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters from Church Divinity School of the Pacific.
