Halloween Hoopla Parade and Trick-or-treat

Saturday, October 26, 2019

Put on your Halloween costume and parade through downtown Menlo Park at our annual Halloween Hoopla.

Participants are welcome to come in costume and participate in the annual parade through downtown Menlo Park to Fremont Park. Led by a band comprised of music students from La Entrada and Hillview Middle Schools, the parade will start in the Maloney Street parking lot off Santa Cruz Avenue. Please meet at the parade start at 11 a.m. After the parade, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., kids are welcome to trick-or-treat to local downtown merchants. Enjoy crafts, live entertainment and carnival games. Free trick or treat bags will available at Fremont Park for all children.

What if it rains?
Currently, it looks like the weather will be good to us this year. We will be providing updates on our Facebook page. If we have a light rain off and on, we will continue with the parade and park activities. Worst case scenario is that the parade and park festivities will be cancelled due to heavy/frequent rain, but the merchant trick-or-treat will go on rain or shine if parents feel comfortable participating. Unfortunately, it will be judgement call on the day of the event, but will do our best to provide updates on our Facebook page.

Reasonable accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities and special needs who contact Mayra Lombera two weeks prior to the event.
