Winter Science Workshop

Saturday, January 27, 2018

It's wintry science fun, just for kids in grades 1-5!

Children in grades 1-5 are invited to join us for an exciting, hands-on science workshop to experience some "winter" science!

Shalini Wadwani of Science Made Fun will lead students in a variety of fun experiments:
  • It's cold outside! Bundle up and learn why down feathers keep away the winter chill.
  • Break out your hat, gloves & fishing pole...we’re going ice-cube fishing!
  • Grow science snowflakes and make it snow inside!
  • Take home our super “cool” snowball slime and a Magic Crystal Snowflake!
No registration is necessary, but space is limited. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

This free event is made possible thanks to funding from the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.

About Science Made Fun
Shalini Wadwani of Science Made Fun has been a popular highlight of several Menlo Park Library Science Night events, leading action-packed tables of hands-on science fun! Science Made Fun, AKA High Touch High Tech, brings fun, hands-on science experiences to schools, parties, youth programs, corporate events and camp programs throughout the Bay Area. The wide range of hands-on science programs available cover physical, life and earth sciences. Children get to see science made fun through hands-on experiences like exploring electricity, making machines, seeing plant seeds in action, and more, through hands-on, engaging, age-appropriate experiments, in a supervised format.
