Fun, creative, language-based music for kids & families!

Bingo Schmingo Music is lively, language-based family fun, full of interactive songs, stories, and dances!  Sing & play along, as Kathleen offers creative musical, language and social experiences to promote phonemic awareness, rhythm and rhyme. Kathleen involves children in crafting new innovations to her songs, allowing for playful & meaningful language experiences.

This free event is made possible thanks to the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.
About Kathleen Rushing

Kathleen Rushing is a retired Kindergarten teacher, and a music & movement specialist. Prior to her retirement, she taught in the New Haven Unified School District in Union City. A CLAD (Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development)-certified, credentialed teacher with an Early Childhood Education degree, Kathleen integrates music into all areas of curriculum.

Bingo Schmingo Music has been developed over the course of Kathleen's 45 years' experience playing guitar and leading children in song. Music is her passion, and Bingo Schmingo Music  is the culmination of her study and understanding of the importance of music in a child's intellectual, emotional and social growth and through observation of how children learn best: through fun!
