City offices will be closed Wednesday, December 24 through Thursday, January 1st for the holidays (Dec. 29th-31st are furlough days). Offices will reopen for regular business at 8:00 am on Friday, January 2, 2015. Here’s some other helpful information you should know about:
- There will be no enforcement of the overnight parking ordinance beginning Sunday morning, December 21st to Sunday, January 4th, so that residents and their guests can relax and enjoy the holidays. Regular overnight parking enforcement will resume on Monday, January 5, 2015, at 2:00 am.
- Tis the season to be watchful… Keep your packages and deliveries safe with these package theft prevention tips from the Police Department.
- There will be no CartSMART Recycle, Compost, and Garbage collection services on Thursday, December 25, 2014 and Thursday, January 1, 2015. If your regular collection day falls on or after the day of those holidays, your service will be delayed by one day. Your regular collection service schedule will resume the week of January 5, 2015.
- Holiday trees will be picked up for composting between December 26th and January 31st, with your regular refuse collection. Please remove all decorations and tree stands (flocked trees are accepted) before placing next to your green Compost Cart. Trees may be up to 8 feet in length. If your tree is longer than 8 feet, please cut the tree before placing the pieces next to or in your compost cart. After January 31st, please cut the tree to fit inside the compost cart.
