Earlier this week, the City received a letter from Santa Clara County Supervisor, Joe Simitian, on the circulation of the Stanford General Use Permit Draft EIR (DEIR). For context, Stanford had submitted an application to Santa Clara County for an additional 2.275 million sq. ft. of academic and academic-related development and 3,150 new housing units.
The DEIR has been released and the comment period is open for 60 days. Santa Clara County is interested in hearing from our organization and encourages our review of the DEIR.
On Oct. 17, Santa Clara County staff will present the DEIR at the Menlo Park City Council meeting. Comments on the DEIR may be provided orally during the presentation, in writing, or at a public meeting hosted by Supervisor Joe Simitian Oct. 19 from 6-8 p.m. at the Palo Alto City Council Chambers.
Questions or concerns can be directed to the Supervisor or Kristina Loquist at 408-299-5050 or by
email.
