On
Monday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m., the Menlo Park Library will host
TechWomen, an international panel of emerging leaders in technology fields. Young female engineers, computer security professionals and others from Kenya, Algeria, Tunisia, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria will be accompanied by their local mentor, Symantec Enterprise Security Director Ellen Brewer, to talk about their experiences being a part of the State Department Initiative that brought them all together. TechWomen’s purpose is to empower, connect and support the next generation of female leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East by providing them the access and opportunity needed to advance their careers, pursue their dreams, and inspire women and girls in their communities.
