Sept. 21 & 22, the City of Menlo Park management team will be in San Jose for the annual management retreat. The currently unprecedented demand for city services and record-high vacant staff positions create management challenges and need for new service delivery strategies. Management staff will be discussing ways to build capacity within the existing ranks and further improve communication efforts. City Manager Alex McIntyre explained, “Management retreats are an invaluable tool for improving the team’s collaboration and an opportunity to learn from each other. I want to push the team to have the tough conversations we are often too busy to have and thoughtfully consider our successes as well as our missteps.”
