Summer 1967, hippie hill, George Harrison, the Haight, flower power, love beads, it’s all 50 years ago this summer. The
library will be marking the Summer of Love with a
family festival Saturday July 22 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.. Remember the old folk songs in a singalong with Mary Lee Sunseri and watch the antics of Puff the Magic Dragon as presented by the Puppet Company.
While they last there will be flower power headbands, Day-Glo stamps, face painters, giant bubbles, love beads and wild balloon twisting. There will even be a special area for those 4 and under to get creative.
Bring your own picnic or visit
Big Ed’s Buzzard Barbecue food truck or
SJ Scoops ice creams. Be there or be square!
