The Menlo Park Fire Protection District
is proposing to demolish the fire station located at 700 Oak Grove Avenue and the adjacent single-family residence at 1231 Hoover Street to construct a new two-story firehouse and vintage vehicle display building. The project also includes relocating an existing carriage house from 300 Middlefield Road to the new site. A Draft Mitigated Negative Declaration (Draft MND)
has been prepared and includes an analysis of potential impacts to air quality, noise and historic impacts. The public review period for the Draft MND runs through December 15, 2014, and copies of the Draft MND are available for review at City Hall, the library, and on the City's website.
The project is scheduled to be reviewed by the Planning Commission on December 15th, the Environmental Quality Commission on December 17th, and the City Council in January 2015.
