First-graders, from Beechwood Elementary School, treated Menlo Park Senior Center patrons to a special performance Friday, June 2. The children welcomed enthusiastic senior guests into the dining room where they performed songs for the seniors during lunch. This event has been a part of on-going intergenerational events planned between the children and the seniors at the Center. Last month the students from the Belle Haven After School program joined the seniors for an opera musical sing-along program. In summer, the intergenerational activities planned at the Center include a cooking event with summer camp children the week of July 4, and a Walkathon event on July 20 at 10 a.m. For more information about the Senior Center events please call
