Elected officials, agency staff and construction contractors gathered Tuesday, May 16, 2017, to celebrate the start of the Willow Road and U.S. 101 Interchange project construction. A groundbreaking ceremony was held near the construction site to kick-off the construction and thank all those involved in moving this project forward, including Caltrans, City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG), San Mateo County Transportation Authority, City of Menlo Park and City of East Palo Alto representatives. Mayor Kirsten Keith spoke about the benefits of the project to both cities and her excitement at seeing the project progress.
