Any plans for the weekend? Well, as a Menlo Park resident you are invited to a free community festival May 13. Facebook is hosting a series of themed events, happening May through October that will help fundraise and support various nonprofits in the community. Two different city departments will participate at each festival with staff available to interact with the community, answer questions, handout promotional material and provide updates on current projects. 

The Menlo Park Police Department and the Environmental Sustainability Programs will be the two city departments to showcase their programs at the May 13 event “Chili Cars and Everyday Stars.” You are welcome to learn about your local government while enjoying the event’s family-friendly entertainment, cooking demos and locally-sourced foods.
