On Jan. 30, construction began on the emergency water supply well at the City’s Corporation Yard. Construction will occur over two phases. This first phase will last about 60 days and it will include a continuous 24/7 drilling period tentatively scheduled to start Wednesday, Feb. 8 and last approximately two weeks. Staff is notifying the community of the start date via postcard, newspaper ad and project webpage. The second phase of the construction process will install the well facilities (i.e., disinfection equipment, emergency generator and associated piping) in summer 2017.
