On Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, the
City Council will hold a study session to review, discuss and provide input and direction on the status of the
Ravenswood Avenue Railroad Crossing study.
This project will evaluate the engineering feasibility of replacing the existing at-grade crossings of the Caltrain railroad tracks by building grade separations of the roadways from the tracks at Ravenswood Avenue and possibly also at Oak Grove Avenue, Glenwood Avenue and Encinal Avenue, with a priority on Ravenswood Avenue.
The project team will present the preliminary designs and a summary of previous community input. The City Council’s feedback and direction on next steps will be used to update the preliminary designs for presentation at City Council for a decision on the preferred alternative later this year.
The City Council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the
City Council Chambers. For those unable to attend in person, meetings are also available to
stream live or on demand.
The agenda and staff report has been posted to the city website. Details about project meetings and presentations are available on the
Ravenswood Avenue Railroad Crossing project page.
