Sergeant Sharon Kaufman recently retired after 35 years of service to the Menlo Park community. Sergeant Kaufman began her Police Department career in 1981 as a police explorer. In 1982, she was hired as a reserve police officer and in 1984 became a full time police officer. She held several positions over the years including K-9 officer, motor traffic officer, personnel and training officer and per-diem dispatcher. She was promoted to sergeant in 2001 and supervised the Patrol Unit, served as the administrative sergeant, traffic sergeant and retired as a detective sergeant assigned to Investigations.

Sergeant Sharon Kaufman is commended for her professionalism, work ethic, dedication, loyalty and passion. Congratulations Sharon on your retirement!
