Traffic impacts for utility relocation work

Posted on December 30, 2016 at 11:00 pm by Clay Curtin

PG&E is starting construction in early January to relocate electrical utility lines to prepare for the Willow Road/U.S. 101 interchange project. PG&E contractors will be in the areas along Sevier Avenue/Newbridge Street, Bay Road/Van Buren Road, Haight Street/Laurel Avenue and Bayshore Road/Laurel Avenue relocating overhead electrical utility lines. A portion of the overhead electrical lines along Bay Road will move underground. There will be intermittent shoulder and roadway closures during this period. Traffic impacts may occur 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday. The electrical relocation work will last about a month. PG&E will also relocate gas facilities in these same areas after the electrical work is complete. Details on locations and dates will be announced closer to the beginning of construction. PG&E will be in contact with impacted residents and businesses in these areas to coordinate and answer questions.
