LIGHT: Beyond the Bulb is an exhibition that highlights the incredible variety of light-based science being researched across the electromagnet spectrum, across scientific disciplines and across technological platforms. The striking images were crowd-sourced and expert curated for science content, stunning beauty and ability to engage wide audiences. Each of oversized panels has a short informative caption. Light: Beyond the Bulb was developed by the
Chandra X-ray Center at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. Menlo Park was able to obtain the display through the efforts of one of its library commissioners who is employed at NASA. The exhibit has traveled the world and will be on display at the library through the end of November.
