In collaboration with the County’s Office of Sustainability and the offices of Supervisors Dave Pine and Don Horsley, the
Sea Change San Mateo County program embarked on a study to identify assets vulnerable to the impacts of sea level rise. This work is part of the County’s strategy for long-term resiliency that will help communities prepare for the impacts related to climate change. As part of this effort, the County will recommend adaptation measures to protect assets and measures to improve flood protection. In addition, the County developed maps that show the extent of flooding due to rising sea levels. The mapping analysis has been completed. The
final report and maps can be downloaded from the
Sea Change San Mateo County program website.
