In preparation for the wet weather season, the
Public Works crews will be performing maintenance work on the Atherton Channel. The work will entail the removal of trash and vegetation to increase the carrying capacity of the channel and help alleviate area flooding problems. To comply with the
California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s permit requirements, biologists will complete a bat survey and assess the sensitive resources and major vegetation types found in the channel. The maintenance work is scheduled to occur over two weekends in October.
