On Tuesday, Sept. 20, the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce will recognize Police Chief Bob Jonsen with its Golden Acorn award for public service. The Golden Acorn Awards program is now in its 40th year and honors individual contributors, small businesses, organizations and nonprofits serving Menlo Park. Each year the nominating committee selects award recipients in the fields of public service, business excellence, community service and innovation/technology.
