Phase 2 of the Chilco Street improvements is now under construction. The improvements extend from the limits of Phase 1 to Constitution Drive, and include a new stop controlled intersection and new pedestrian and bike paths that will be separated from the travel lanes by a landscaped barrier. Also included is pathway lighting, signage and striping, and landscaping and irrigation. The project will remove the existing median and install approximately 90 trees varying in size from 24” to 72” boxes. Traffic control will be in place and residents should expect temporary lane closures, bike path closure and shoulder closure along Chilco Street. The expected completion date is late August 2016.
