The City Council will be holding a public hearing and seeking public comment on the City’s fiscal year 2016-17 proposed budget at its regular meeting, June 7, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers (701 Laurel St.). City Manager Alex D. McIntyre hosted a budget workshop and presentation for the public on May 24, 2016. The proposed budget lays out a $110 million citywide spending plan for the coming year. The public hearing is an opportunity for the public to ask questions and make comments before the City Council’s final consideration and budget adoption scheduled for June 21. The City’s fiscal year starts July 1.
