During the City’s one-year herbicide-free park pilot, crews will not apply herbicides at Stanford Hills Park, Fremont Park, Willow Oaks Park and Bedwell Bayfront Park. The City’s contractor will remove weeds using mechanical methods that include hand pulling, mowing and mulching. Data gathered during the pilot will help determine whether herbicide free maintenance can expand to additional parks. Weed removal and mulching is completing at Stanford Hills Park, Fremont Park and Willow Oaks Park. Scheduled mowing at Bedwell Bayfront Park will occur in June.
