Menlo Park named as 2016 Business Environmental Award finalist

The City of Menlo Park is a successful model for water conservation strategies that produce measurable results. Menlo Park achieved a 50 percent reduction in water use, exceeding its State-required 16 percent water reduction goal. The city employs a number of water conservation programs such as Lawn Be Gone, Conserve-A-Scape, Waterfluence, a water waste hotline and municipal water conservation efforts. Menlo Park is a recognized water conservation leader with several news articles documenting these successful programs. Acterra recently declared the city’s water conservation programs a finalist in its annual Business Environmental Awards. Other finalists include:
