MidPen Housing has begun construction on Sequoia Belle Haven, a new 90-unit affordable senior housing development located in the 1200 block of Willow Road. The City contributed $3.2 million from the Below Market Rate fund to the project for units at extremely low and very low affordability levels. On Tuesday, Feb. 23, the City issued a building permit for the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of the new building. The demolition started Wednesday morning and neared completion by Thursday afternoon. The project has a very tight timeline. Occupancy of the new building should begin toward the end of January 2017.
